View allThe Olive Tree in the Scriptures: A Symbol of Covenant, Identity & Restoration of Yashar'al
Yaramyahu (Jeremiah) 11:16 - The Green Olive Tree“Yahu’ah called your name, ‘A green olive tree, fair and of goodly fruit." Yashar’al is identified by YAHU'AH as a fruitful and beautiful olive tree, planted and called by His Name. This image speaks of covenant favor, life, and purpose. However, disobedience to the covenant brings consequence. When Yashar’al turns away, branches are broken off -symbolizing judgment, discipline, and scattering among the nations. Yet even in judgment, the tree remains, and the root stays alive, preserving the promise of restoration, preserving the promise of restoration.
About us
Yaramyahu (Jeremiah) 11:16 identifies Yashar’al as Yahu’ah’s green olive tree -fruitful, beautiful, and called by His Name. This imagery establishes covenant identity, purpose, and favor.
Romans 11:16–24 builds on this foundation, explaining what happens to the branches of that same olive tree:
-The natural branches are the 12 Tribes of Yashar’al, planted by covenant and raised within Yahu’ah’s order.
-Broken branches are Yashar’al disciplined for unbelief and disobedience, resulting in judgment and scattering.
-These scattered branches appear “wild” due to loss of cultivation, identity, and covenant order — not because they belong to a different tree.
Yet Romans 11 declares that YAHU'AH is able to graft them in again.
Through repentance, belief, and covenant obedience, broken and wild branches are restored to their own olive tree. This reveals a powerful truth:
Discipline does not cancel covenant.
Judgment does not erase identity.
Broken branches can be restored.
Together, Jeremiah 11 and Romans 11 testify to YAHU'AH's mercy, faithfulness, and unbroken covenant with Yashar’al.
ZAKARYAHU-ZECHARIAH 2:12
AND YAHU'AH SHALL INHERIT YAHU'DAH HIS PORTION IN THE QADASH LAND, AND SHALL CHOOSE YARUSHALUM AGAIN
YADAH YAHU'AH
“…If some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches… For if YAHU'AH did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either… And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for YAHU'AH is able to graft them in again.”
Here, the olive tree represents the covenant people of YAHU'AH, rooted in the promises given to Abraham.
